Cinerary Urn/Fragment

National Archaeological Museum of Egnazia, Fragment of a great cinerary urn 7th – beginning 6th BC.

Turned out fragment of a rim with rounded lip and part of the shoulder, relevant to large cinerary urn with a horizontal stick handle, flattened at the centre. Monochrome decoration: on the lip, radial angled motifs and band corresponding to the rim, two horizontal bands on neck and shoulder; on the shoulder: triangular motif; on the handle a fine line between two bands.
